PLANTS WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

What's the difference between plants and animals? How do they feed? How do they breathe? How do they reproduce? In our Plants workshop we explore their structure from root to tip, we explain the key processes of photosynthesis and pollination, and investigate the roll carbon dioxide and oxygen play in the life cycle.

HUMANS & OTHER ANIMALS WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

Our Humans workshop delves into the wonderful workings of the human body, discovering answers to questions like why are my eyes blue? What is skin made from? Or what's inside a bogey? In our Animals workshop we explore food chains, predators and prey, and how plants and animals depend on each other to survive.

ROCKET WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

Our Rocket workshop will explore Newton's Laws of Motion, taking your school project on outer space to stratospheric levels. For smaller kids we have stomp rockets; they get to build their own and have lots of fun shooting them from our launcher. Or for some real excitement we have a spectacular real-life launch that will shoot a rocket hundreds of feet into the sky!
Our rockets are replicas of the real thing, with a parachute to ensure a safe landing, weather and space permitting.

ELECTRICITY WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

Electricity is made up of charged particles and in this workshop your pupils will get to experience first hand how negatively charged electrons move to create electric shocks or how static electricity makes a balloon stick to the wall. They will get the chance to make their very own potato battery and other fun an imaginative experiments. We guarantee a shocking time!!!

BIOLOGICAL WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

How does what we eat and drink affect the different organs and cells in our bodies when absorbed, and why? Our biological workshop gives your pupils a look at how our bodies break food down and what happens when it is digested.  We have all the answers, only we don’t write them down. Instead we have a fantastic mix of experiments that will illustrate how it all works and we guarantee it wont be too hard for the kids to 'swallow'...including the bad puns!

STATES OF MATTER WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

This workshop explores the world and what it is made from. We demonstrate the five states of matter and atoms and molecules using slime, dry-ice and the always popular plasma ball.

PLASMA & POLYMERS WORKSHOP

1hr interactive workshop for 20-35 children

This workshop explores what role polymers play in our everyday lives and how plasma illuminates our world, both the indoors and out. The kids will get to play with balloons and slime to understand how the invisible chains of molecules in polymers stretch and move. And we will use our plasma ball to explore the links between heat, sound, light, electricity and magnetism.
